Every Movement Begins with a Story

Work Care and Thrive didn’t begin with a business plan. It began during a coaching conversation.

While reflecting on her own experience of balancing a leadership career with unpaid care, Ola realised she wanted to support others navigating the same journey.

She also realised she wasn’t alone. Thousands of other people were quietly navigating the same reality every day. That realisation became the foundation for something bigger.

What started as a desire to help people like herself has grown into Work Care and Thrive, the PAUSE Framework and a growing movement committed to creating workplaces where unpaid carers feel recognised, supported and able to thrive.

Every Movement Needs Strong Foundations

Every conversation, programme and resource created by Work Care and Thrive is shaped by four complementary perspectives. Together, they ensure our work is deeply personal, practically grounded and rooted in what genuinely helps.

Lived Experience

Leadership Experience

Evidence-Informed Practice

Transformational Coaching

The Person Behind the Movement

My work is dedicated to helping people caring for someone they love feel recognised, supported and understood, while enabling organisations to respond with confidence and compassion.

For more than twenty years, Ola Soneye built a successful leadership career, leading teams and delivering organisational change while quietly balancing the realities of unpaid care.

Having balanced a leadership career alongside caring for those she loves, Ola understands first-hand the realities of juggling work, caring responsibilities and the emotional weight that often comes with balancing both..

That lived experience, together with years of leadership, transformational coaching and a commitment to evidence-informed practice, became the foundation of Work Care and Thrive.

Since then, that original desire to support others has grown into far more than coaching. Today, Ola combines keynote speaking, transformational coaching and practical resources to help organisations and people caring for someone they love navigate work, life and care more sustainably.

Whether she’s speaking to senior leaders, supporting people caring for someone they love or creating practical resources, the purpose remains the same: helping people navigate work, life and care with greater confidence and support.
